Welcome to the Website for the Kenosha County Alliance of Snowmobiling Clubs

The Kenosha County Snowmobile Alliance was formed in 1971 by the eight snowmobile clubs with the mission of joining the trails together to form a county-wide system.

Kenosha-County-Alliance-LogoFive snowmobile clubs in Kenosha County collectively form the Kenosha County Alliance of Snowmobiling Clubs. We work together to create and maintain the trail system in southeastern Wisconsin. If you enjoy riding Kenosha County trails, joining a local club can connect you with the fellow enthusiasts and save you money.

The Kenosha County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and extending the sport of snowmobiling in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

Each person becomes that a member of a snowmobile club in the Kenosha County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs also is a member of the alliance on a county level, and the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC) on the state level. Membership in an AWSC snowmobile has benefits, including being able to purchase discounted trail passes for snowmobiles registered in Wisconsin.

By joining a snowmobile club in Kenosha County — and there are five to choose from, as well as clubs in every county in the state of Wisconsin — you will be represented locally and at the state level. “The Alliance,” as the Kenosha County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs is often called, meets monthly to address concerns that affect every club in the county such as trail status, grooming, trail maintenance, DNR concerns and dealing with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.

The clubs in the Alliance work together to mark the 85 miles of state-funded trails in Kenosha County while each of the member clubs takes care of the club trails that make up the other 115 miles of trails in the county.

Annually, the Alliance elects a director and a representative to take the Alliance’s concerns to the state level. Also, these representatives work with the AWSC to be sure local clubs and members are informed about state-wide issues that impact the support. Among the issues are proposed or pending legislation that could affect snowmobiling, snowmobiling registration fees and changes to them, and other state-wide concerns.

Also annually, each club in Kenosha County elects three representatives to take the club’s concerns to the Alliance.

The Alliance meets monthly, on the second Wednesday of each month, to address county- and state-level issues. Each club in the Alliance takes turns hosting the monthly meeting. For more information about the next meeting or about becoming involved in the leadership or representing your club at the Alliance, contact your club’s board of directors.
